Visions® 2009
The Sourcing Days and ISG team work closely together to make
Visions® 2009 a strategic exchange platform.
Visions® 2009 has the double objective of being both a forum for the exchange
of information, ideas and opinions about the stationery and office supplies
industry, and an ice-breaker for the Sourcing & Innovation Days event.
The Format :
Visions® 2009 is a series of round table discussions between Sourcing
Days participants. The number of
attendees per table and their activity is decisive and gives all the value
of the information exchanged.
Topics are analysed from different perspectives due to the mix of players
(manufacturers, wholesalers,
office suppliers, retailers, etc, and also different nationalities). Every
participant gives their opinions and shares real experiences.
Learning the ultimate novelties about markets and new government projects,
changes of regulations, trends from the companies directly concerned gives
much more value to the information because you can have direct
feedback of other experiences.
Hot themes chosen by industry leaders
The themes are selected according to the most relevant and topical issues
facing the industry. The Sourcing Days and ISG teams are in contact with
key players on a daily basis, and that is the reason why the selection
of the themes is every year of the most interest.
Topics that fit with every single strategy
Each participant will make his own choice among themes and therefore will
investigate on topics that are
more strategic for them.
Testimonials
The Visions® 2009
roundtable discussions are good means to get to know the
various participants of Sourcing Days, both suppliers and fellow buyers.
The topics were very actual and therefore caused a high degree of participation
in the discussion from all people around my table. It was interesting
to learn how other players in the market are coping with these issues.
Jan Van Belleghem, interACTION Director, Belgium.
"It was excellent to start up the event with a round table discussion
on several pre-set topics. First of all it
provided a kind of fast networking for the participants. On the other
hand it was very useful to learn the
different views of the same topic of various players from manufacturers
to wholesalers and dealers from all
different parts of the Globe. We just started the discussion there but
in several cases it continued during the event.
I learned a lot and I was happy to share my personal views with the other
participants. Well done !"
Mark Hortobágyi, Commercial Director, Corwell, Hungary.
"After breaking the ice, it has been instead a positive surprise
to me and interesting to know from the
discussions how many common matters the industry has and, even if the
solutions are not at a finger tip, the
comparison of ideas and experiences is always so worthful. This is also
a good way to create new projects and
collaborations."
Graziella Cappelletto, Managing Director, Cappelletto, Italy.
"After a long and tiring journey and then the assembling of the
booth, I went to Visions 2008, the round table,
moved mostly by my curiosity to know the other participants, as it was
my first time to this event.
After breacking the ice, it has been a positive surprise for me and interesting
to know from the discussions how
many common matters the industry has and, even if the solutions are not
at a finger tip, the comparison of ideas
and experiences is always so worthful. This is also a good way to create
new projects and collaborations."
