Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Sourcing & Innovation Days and a traditional
trade show?
There is no time wasting with small buyers at Sourcing & Innovation Days.
Unlike traditional shows, you can be sure to meet 60 International key buyers
and spend up to 96 hours with them.
Who is going to come to Sourcing & Innovation Days?
Every year, there are 60 large and medium-sized volume buyers from all over
Europe and the Middle East. They are specialized buyers and purchasing managers:
they are the key decision makers.
How many suppliers are coming, and from which countries?
There will be around 60 suppliers that will correspond to the buyers purchasing
needs. Suppliers will be coming from all over the world. They will present
a mix of different products (office products, stationery and back to school)
to avoid too much competition and present the best selection to buyers.
How are the meetings organized?
The meetings last 25 minutes, you receive company profiles of the buyers
who will be present 45 days before the event, and the buyers receive your company
information and product info also before the event. Our information system
together with the OMS software will optimize your number of meetings. There
are 36 “official” slots on the three days (25 minutes) that enable
you to open doors with buying organisations.
Why are the buyers coming to Sourcing & Innovation Days?
The buyers come to the event to save time and meet selected suppliers they
would barely discover without Sourcing & Innovation Days. We collect their
sourcing requirements so that the time they spend with each supplier is time
well spent. They know that each meeting is targeted at satisfying their requirements.
They spend 100% of their time for business opportunities.
Another reason is to attend the Visions® 2007 panel discussions to catch
the industry moves and to feel the future of our markets.
What are the products they are looking for?
They are looking for stationery & office items that correspond to their
product offer and also high-value added opportunities to put in their assortment.
What is the guarantee that the buyers will be interested in my products?
The selection procedure for suppliers is a guarantee of the interest of the
buyers. Suppliers that do not correspond to the buyers’ needs are not
accepted.
Why do you put emphasis on selection?
It is important to know who you are forecasting to deal with or to know some
reliable fellow who trusts him. We create a unique format that allows suppliers
to really build up a relationship with many potential customers in a very short
period of time.
How long have you been running Sourcing & Innovation Days for?
This format has been running successfully since 2002. The Ouranos group was
created in 1935 and has launched different services since then. We only develop
this format in the industries where we have publications and therefore an efficient
expertise. That’s why we can offer you such a quality selection of decision-makers.
